Gun Control

Is this really control. As I talked to my younger brother this last week I mentioned to him of my frustrations with our governments attempt to control guns and who has them. He believes quite differently than I do and we can get pretty heated at times in our discussions. As I complained of this new attempt to take away our 2nd amendment, I noticed his confusion to why I would fight this. I pointed out to him that if they were to take away the guns and ammo in this country that only one thing would happen. Good law abiding citizens would obey the laws and those who have already shown a lack of respect to law and order would keep theirs. So I asked if he would be comfortable walking down the street holding hands with his partner knowing that those who have all the guns and have shown a complete lack of disrespect for other's rights were the only one's armed and ready to use them. I also pointed out that famous line "Guns don't kill people, I do". Cane did not need a gun to kill his brother. And last I checked, many have died before, and after guns came into our history. Guns aren't the problem. Lack of education, stupidity, and hate are the real problems. I would also like to remind people that the first real step that caused all the problems in Germany and Europe is when a certain someone took the guns away from the people.
